About One World Children’s Fund
One World Children's Fund (OWCF) provides financial and other support for grassroots projects around the world that care for needy children and their caregivers, striving to be a force of love, hope and compassion-in-action. OWCF’s unique Champion Model also makes fundraising, financial management and reporting services available to individuals who support charitable projects for children. Currently, it supports 24 individual projects in Africa, Asia, the US and South and Central America. Its goals are to: (1) support disadvantaged children and their caregivers with basic education, healthcare, training, economic development and protective services, (2) support the local grassroots, community-based organizations that serve them, and (3) encourage individuals and groups living in the United States to be directly and actively engaged in domestic and international philanthropy.
OWCF is a small, growing organization in the midst of a multi-year transition from its origins as an informal, all-volunteer organization to an efficient, entrepreneurial, fund-raising, grant making and fiscal sponsorship organization. OWCF is currently run by an active, six-person board, a full time business manager and a pool of dedicated volunteers.
